4th Annual Pellicano Vineyard La Festa Italiana

Join our Vineyard family Saturday, March 30th, 2024 for the 4th Annual La Festa Italiana, as we share a fantastic authentic Italian feast. We will eat like Italians, drink like Italians and then we are going to sing and dance like it’s a wedding. This will be practice for my daughter’s wedding receptions.

Last year was so much fun and organized that we plan to stick with the same format. Again, we will be closing The Vineyard for this party. We will have dinner in the beautiful Tasting AND Tank Rooms. The meal will be plated instead of family style, and you will be able to reserve tables so that you can be seated with your friends. There will be live music and dancing will be encouraged.

Saturday, March 30th, 6pm. Doors open at 5:30. Aperitivo and mingling will begin at 6pm. Dinner will begin about 6:30 or so and will consist of 6 courses as follows:

Aperitivo (1st Course): Bubbly with mixed nuts and olives. There will be a table set up after check in to grab a glass of Bubbly and a snack. When we visited Italy, they always had nuts and olives as appetizers, along with Prosecco. This is the time to mingle before sitting down to dinner.

Insalata (2nd Course): Burrata with roasted tomato, extra virgin olive oil, Grana Padano. In Italy, this was served after the meal. But even though that was the authentic way to do it, we are not used to doing it that way in the States. Again this year, we will do it the Italian American way, which is before the meal.

Primi (3rd Course): Penne in creamy marinara with Parmesan flakes. Bread will be served with this course. This is the 3rd course, but the 1st meal course.

Secondi (4th Course): Ragu made from beef & pork sautéed in celery, onions, carrots, butter, garlic, white wine, then simmered in Vineyard Red, stock and cream until reduced to a creamy bechamel. This course will be served on the same plate as the Primi Course.

Contorni (5th Course): An Italian word meaning mixed vegetables. This course is served right after the main meal. Bell peppers sautéed in a garlic, soy sauce, served with stracciatella, honey, Grana Padano.

Dolce (6th Course): Let’s not make this course complicated…. Tiramisu.

Following the meal, music & dancing!!!!
